DCA Airport Ground Transportation


The Metrorail station at Ronald Reagan airport connects directly with the concourse of the Terminals B and C. It is an elevated outdoor platform and provides service to the Blue and Yellow Lines. Metrorail connects with Virginia, Washington and Maryland.



Buses run just during the hours that there is not a metrorail service. In general, buses run during weekend mornings or before the metro service has started.



To pick up a taxi, go to the Baggage Claim of any Terminal at DCA airport.

All taxicabs must be provided with taxi meters and must use it.


There is an Airport Fee of $3.00.

First Mile: $5.39.

Each additional Mile: $2.16 (each).


A ride to downtown Washington costs between $15-$20 approximately.

There are Wheelchair-Accessible Taxis to all passengers that request the service. It is better to book previously the service before arrive at the Reagan airport, the service will be more faster.



There are different shuttle buses at the airport that run to all parking garages (A, B and C), the Terminal Metro, the Economy Parking or the Rental Car Garage Parking. There is also a shuttle bus service that goes to the Employee Parking.


At the airport, passengers have also the possibility to share a ride service. Uber and Lyft services are allowed to operate at the airport.



DCA airport connects with the U.S. Route 1 through the Airport Viaducte (Route 233).
